Hi neighbor,

We're a small, owner-run crew. When we write to you, it's one of the owners on the other end, and for now we're also the ones in your yard each week.

We keep routes tight on purpose, a few streets at a time, so we can show up on the same day and in the same window every week. If we ever miss something, tell us and we'll make it right.

Things people usually ask

Why the name Doody Diligence?

Due diligence is what careful people do before a big deal. Doody diligence is what we do before we close your gate: checked, photographed, latched. The pun was too good to pass up.

Is it worth it?

Weekly service for one dog is about $126 a month, or $29 a visit. That's about five grande lattes, or a little more than two Chipotle burritos. You get back your weekend chore, a yard you can walk barefoot, and a photo proving the gate is shut. Some services cost less per visit. We price for the same day every week, the photo every time, and the owners doing the work.

Do you really have a tiny yard discount?

Yes. If your yard is under about 1,500 square feet, you get 20% off the visit price. Small yard, small bill. We confirm the size on the first visit.

Why does my yard size change the price?

A small flat lawn takes about 10 minutes. A terraced half-acre with ivy can take 30 or more. We price by the yard you actually have, so small yards aren't paying for big ones. You see the exact number before you book.

Do you have neighborhood rates?

Yes. When several homes on the same streets sign up, we can serve them on one route, and we pass some of that saving on. If a neighbor or your HOA gave you a code, enter it when you book.

Do I need to be home?

No. We just need access to the yard. Leave the gate unlocked on your service day or put a gate code in your booking notes.

What about my dogs?

Tell us when you book. If your dog is out and friendly, we'll say hi and keep working. If a dog seems unsure, or someone's in the yard we weren't expecting, we don't go in. We email you and come back later that day or on your next visit, at no charge. We never let a dog out, and we always re-latch the gate.

What if the gate is locked?

We email you from the curb. If we can't get in, we try once more that day. If it's still locked, we skip that visit and don't charge for it.

Where does the waste go?

We double-bag it and put it in your trash bin. Every city we serve says bagged pet waste goes in the trash, never in green waste or recycling. Here's which cart that is, city by city, and LA County's animal rules if you're curious.

What if it rains?

Light rain doesn't stop us. For heavy storms we shift your visit by a day and email you.

How does billing work?

Recurring plans put a card on file with Stripe to hold your spot. Nothing is charged until after your first visit, and then we bill monthly for the visits you've had. One-time cleanups take a 50% deposit, and the rest is due after the job. Deposits are fully refundable up to 48 hours before your visit. No contract, so you can cancel anytime.

How do I cancel?

Reply to any of our emails, or cancel from your account. No contract and no cancellation fee. You only pay for visits we've already done.

Do you clean artificial turf?

Yes. Our turf deodorizing uses a pet-safe enzyme cleaner that breaks down urine odor in the turf backing, not just on the surface.

Can I pause while I travel?

Of course. Pause from your account, or reply to any of our emails with the dates, and we'll skip those visits at no charge.

Still wondering something?

Ask us. A real owner reads every one and replies by email.
